"Boundary of the space in between" - Alessia Maggio

There is a passage in between spaces, that guides from a state to another, from the space of intimacy to a community area.
The boundary that signs a mark between two different living conditions, from a private and reserved intimacy environment to the outside reality, symbolize itself as an element of interaction and of acknowledgment of the human condition. The way this passage is designed in history defines a change from a boundary to, in many cases, a threshold, the entrance guiding from darkness to light, from the in to an out.
This mark is representative of the variation of the living conditions and the changes of it uses throughout time. Analysing the design of this particular border we recognize that the moment of the passage in-between two conditions has is own dimensions, proportions and timing life, this proceeding and transforming variations are describing a new space to be yet recognised with it's own specific identity.
